Natasha partook in Dussehra celebrations on Tuesday wearing a bandhani sari featuring a floral woven border by Manish Malhotra. Now, I would’ve preferred a simple blouse minus the striped sequins and the pallu to have been worn a wee shorter such that it wasn’t dragging on the floor, but other than she looked lovely.
Wearing a peach sari by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Natasha attended their 33rd anniversary fashion show on Thursday. I would’ve liked this better if the sari had the flame-inspired edge only on the pallu.
Natasha opted for a mint green sequin sari by Manish Malhotra to wear to the Ambani Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. In addition to the fact that her sequin sari also felt completely out of place at the gathering in question, that emerald satlada necklace while delish just overpowered the entire look, and not in a good way either.
Skip that necklace, wear the same combo to a cocktail party and I’d be singing a completely different tune here.
Wearing a Chanel vest with denims and silver pumps, Natasha jetted out of Mumbai late Monday night. But, that wasn’t what caught our eye. It was the over sized Calvin Klein 205W39NYC tote that she carried with her that grabbed our eyeballs.
We can all agree the tote ain’t really practical but we also know that isn’t Ms. Poonawalla’s priority here.
Are you recovered from Cannes red carpet yet? We have, even if for the most part it left us generally meh. If there was one thing that stood out to us, it was the sheer number of white-toned gowns we saw during the film festival.
White is a great pick since it tends to really pop on the red carpet, and when done well, it’s high on impact. But on the flip-side, flaws seem exaggerated too. All said and done, Diana in her Amit Aggarwal sari was our favorite for toeing the ‘sari-but-contemporary’ line well. A close second was Sonam whose tuxedo was definitely high on impact, it’s a pity then that the fit on those pants let her down (see what we said about the flaws).
How did you think our tinsel town ladies fared? Have a favorite?
