In Manish Malhotra

Natasha partook in Dussehra celebrations on Tuesday wearing a bandhani sari featuring a floral woven border by Manish Malhotra. Now, I would’ve preferred a simple blouse minus the striped sequins and the pallu to have been worn a wee shorter such that it wasn’t dragging on the floor, but other than she looked lovely.

    • Hard to believe that Manish Malhotra had a hand in designing something that actually looks pretty and not filmy chamak challo like chamkeeli and blingy.

  1. I actually love that blouse with the saree. And her choker too. I don’t think I’ve ever liked anything Natasha wore, but this is quite tastefully done.

  2. Maybe I’m in the minority but I don’t like this look at all. The blouse is atrocious (classic MM), and the choker is too thick, she actually looks trapped. Her smile makes it work though.

  3. She looks like a combination of Mahima Chaudhary and Illeana D’Cruz. A beautiful one at that! (The 2 women anyway have been my favs). I love the look apart from the drape.. the pleats are leaning too much on the right (her left) and blouse neckline sits quite low. For some reason, despite the flaws, she looks great! The colour is doing its job.

  4. In love with that choker! Chokers deserve a bun or hair tied in some way or the other- I cringe everytime someone sports a choker with open hair…she’s done it right for a change!

  5. Although saree is lovely (which is rare to see in MM collection) the deep neck blouse ruined the entire look. Just not appropriate for festival. Probably draping it more tastefully could make this look more elegant.

  6. She does manage to make MM look sophisticated which is no small feat! Love the choker! Not too sweet on the blouse but the overall effect is not ruined by it. She looks great

  7. First time ever liking her. How pretty she looks when she smiles n doesn’t restrain herself. Also, she is giving a glimpse of Neeta Ambani here.

  8. The overall look works. Agree on teh extra long pallu, so unnecessary. But pray tell me, how is this designer? These are classic weaves from centuries ago… what and how has MM modified it to call it his own? The simple gold edging, the tacky blouse?? what makes this a designer look when you start with a heritage weave as this banarasi is.
