White On The Red Carpet

Are you recovered from Cannes red carpet yet? We have, even if for the most part it left us generally meh. If there was one thing that stood out to us, it was the sheer number of white-toned gowns we saw during the film festival.

White is a great pick since it tends to really pop on the red carpet, and when done well, it’s high on impact. But on the flip-side, flaws seem exaggerated too. All said and done, Diana in her Amit Aggarwal sari was our favorite for toeing the ‘sari-but-contemporary’ line well. A close second was Sonam whose tuxedo was definitely high on impact, it’s a pity then that the fit on those pants let her down (see what we said about the flaws).

Diana’s third day at Cannes was about feathers it seems. She started her day in a yellow Atelier Zuhra dress and then walked the red carpet wearing a strapless gown from Nedret Taciroglu.

I really hope we get some red carpet pics of her soon because she just looked divine!

Diana’s second day at Cannes also saw her wear a floral Blumarine coat dress in the morning then in another Celia Kritharioti creation later at night for another Chopard party.

Loved her in the coat but can we talk about how fabulous she looked in the jumpsuit!

Diana attended a panel session about Women in Cinema at the India Pavilion at Cannes and for the event sported an Amit Aggarwal ivory and gold sari-inspired gown. Sergio Rossi sandals and Aquamarine jewellery finished out her look.

I probably would’ve gone either or on the earrings/necklace but that was a minor gripe. She looked good!

Diana attended the Chopard Dinner on Friday evening wearing a gold fringe dress and thigh-high boots, both by Celia Kritharioti. The combo sure made for something different but can’t say I liked it. Maybe a different pair of boots would have me singing a different tune.
