In Amit Aggarwal
Diana attended a panel session about Women in Cinema at the India Pavilion at Cannes and for the event sported an Amit Aggarwal ivory and gold sari-inspired gown. Sergio Rossi sandals and Aquamarine jewellery finished out her look.
I probably would’ve gone either or on the earrings/necklace but that was a minor gripe. She looked good!
Diana Penty
She looks every bit like the Goddess Diana! For once, I am even willing to ignore that this is a sari-gown!
Yes, I agree. Statuesque beauty!
Everything is going so well except that just one thing for me, Bright lip shade.
The bright lip shade is much more visible in the close up but in the whole profile it tones down. It was a dull overcast day in Cannes today so it can be looked past.
I absolutely love this. This is one of the very few instances where the “saree- reimagined” truly brings something unique and glamorous to the whole looks. All other versions look too desperate and reduce the saree to a gimmick.
This one on the other hand, is sublime and honors the saree suitably. I love how the diaphanous pallu falls effortlessly but ever so perfectly-pleated over her shoulder and the blouse gives a just hint of her daintiness without ever slipping into the vulgar category.
The stylist and the designer both deserve pats on the back for doing justice to the saree and to Diana’s beauty.
Loveeee this! Thank you lady Diana.
Ah! A breath of fresh air! I’ve always admired her style.
She is looking heavenly ! I wish she had worn this on the red carpet….would have redeemed us from the cringeworthy display from the Bollywood brigade (till now). I much prefer her saree gown and overall styling over Kangana’s ( she was all talk and drama before she went and in reality, just fizzled out)
Gorgeous
Drop dead gorgeous!
This would look amazing on the RC. The gown is not path breaking but is styled really well.
She is a beauty. She accentuates the dress and not vice versa.
What a breath of fresh air among all the “trying too hard”s.
Every element of this outfit is perfect, and the look as a whole is a elegant, effortless, modern, global with a nod to Indian origins and utterly gorgeous. Easily the best look seen from the India brigade in Cannes.
Diana looks lovely, everything is spot on. Full marks for this. And agree with M about the sari-gown looking good for once.
Classic & dreamy. Fits her aesthetic and silhouette so well! Also love the Jewelry and red lip.
Where is the fall in love button. This is a 10/10 look. Perfection. Diana just reflects beauty and charm no matter what she wears.
She looks ethereal. This would be my favorite Indian wear at Cannes after Sonam’s cobalt blue Rimzim Dadu saree.
a great take on the saree
very elegant
Loving the neck piece .
Finally !!! Sooo beautiful … I knew Diana would bring it … but after seeing that gold spangled outfit with those boots , I almost gave up … but then she brings it n how !! Love that it’s not in your face drama but somehow is …and it has that Indian element too !! Major love
Omg Thank you so much Diana. Forever grateful. Stunning. Timeless. Classiest. LOVE.
Brownie points for reppin’ Indian designers and silhouettes
She looks so so beautiful! wish she could have walked the red carpet in this, instead of those over-styled looks from the other bolly celebs!
She looks more than good guys, she looks stunning!! The best Cannes look from an Indian celeb this year. Live everything, would not change a thing!
P&P can you please cover all the Cannes looks – so many have been left out? This is so much better than SOTY promotions. Also want to say that while I love your blog, your minimal commentary is making it boring. Thank god the comments are still entertaining.
I know so many people have made this comment – would be great if you can incorporate this feedback.
Yeah…Diana’s looks have been great.. would love to see them all…I look fwd on seeing Priyanka, Deepika off red carpet outfits too..
Beautiful Diana- still a bit on the safe side; but the hair and makeup is slick!
