In The Loom

As she made her way in to the local airport, Sara was photographed in a sharara by The Loom. Matching purple bangles and signature jootis rounded out the actor’s look. I like the outfit on her; Sara looked nice. That said though, it was so hard to look away from the bag, and not in a good way; wish she had picked a different tote!

  1. Honestly how many of these same outfits does she own? Springs a new one every day. If she’s trying to be relatable to the common (wo)man, it’s definitely not working. I don’t know where the spark is gone that we saw when she was first starting out

  2. Just a nice gal that tries to make trad Indian garments cool again day to day. True – what is with the choice of totes lately? This one has a comic book theme, clashes w classic elegance of Indian garments.

Lets remember that these ppl are also reg folk going about their business.Hard to be paparazzi bait or keep dressing for others.

Anyways, an eternal ray of sunshine, minus bag.

  3. Is that a sharara/ gharara.. I would have just worn regular traditional top with it… too much going here, the neckline, bodice, bell sleeves, flares..plus dupatta doesnt go with the outfit.. (the print and colour is really meh to begin with )..and the bag – it gives me nightmares.

  4. I’m not sure what the deal with her is. It’s an overcooked combination of portraying an everywoman persona and bigging up her nawabi ancestry. It’s a good strategy in theory and probably worked for the first 300 chikan shararas…now it’s just a very boring costume.

  5. Honestly I think it’s just her style , she likes being in Indian desi outfits ,if u saw the Koffee with Karan episode recently on YT , she’s in a short D&G dress & looked so uncomfortable in it . It’s nice to see she’s not flaunting designer bags & expensive clothes yet . Maybe she’s trying to look ordinary & to be relatable which which could be a a strategic career move designed by her team . Or maybe she’s really like this IRL lol

  6. Damned if you do.. Damned if you don’t. I saw comments bashing her when she wears western saying she doesn’t have her own style and follows the Bollywood brigade. Now that she wearing clothes that she seems comfortable in and May be her style, she’s being slammed for being repetitive.

    Guess can’t make everyone happy.

  7. This might be a in-character promotional look as she’s dressed this way in her just released movie “atrangi re”. Also, I think Indian wear seems to be her personal style, she looks very comfortable in it. I don’t see any harm in that, but would be nice if she changed it up, but when she does, it gets slammed 🙂
