Sari Style

At their respective events, both ladies opted for saris…

Ms. Das’s footwear choice with that sari is unfathomable to us. And though Ms. Kamineni’s Satya Paul sari isn’t up our alley, she makes it work.

In Satya Paul

Spotted Ms. Manchu in a colorful Satya Paul sari that we had previously seen on Malaika wear on the runway for the label.

We for one love color but, the sari itself is a tad much for us. Lakshmi does wear it very well though.

In Satya Paul

Raageshwari and Sonal took in the Satya Paul show wearing designs from the label’s previous collections. Most of the times Raageshwari nails it but this time the look felt lacking. Sonal, on the other hand, looked good in her dress even though we aren’t even fans of it.

On The Ramp

The ‘Delhi Eye’ launch event had Shah Rukh, Malaika and Mandira in attendance which also included a fashion show by Satya Paul. Malaika performed at the event and also walked the runway wearing a Satya Paul sari.

Between the two, I much preferred Mandira’s Satya Paul over Malaika’s. Malaika’s just felt the same ole’ Satya Paul-ish rainbow fare. Got a preference?

LFW Winter/Festive 2010: Satya Paul

There were dresses, gowns, saris, lehengas, separates… Quite the extensive collection from Satya Paul. But that doesn’t mean they were all good.

Less said about the western-wear, the better. I hope to never see that rosette gown on a red carpet. Ever. The saris were pretty and wearable. We can’t help but wish the collection was better edited though, there is such a thing as one too many.
