Wearing a Til by Ankur Verma quilted jacket and skirt set, Rasika attended the Elle Sustainability Awards on Thursday evening. The earrings here didn’t add much but she still looked nice in the bright set.

Malaika was seen at the Elle Sustainability Awards in a halter gown from Gauri and Nainika. Like the color on her and the hairdo but the gown itself was way too busy with that side bow/train design and rosette on the bust.
Not sure why the decision to go change the placement of the black rosettes vs what was on the original design.

Two outings and we saw Genelia in two upcycled outfits, first in a floral pantsuit from Varun Bahl made from leftover materials and then in a custom jacket and skirt set from Untitle by Nikita made from discarded fabric pieces. In the latter look, she integrated a tie bearing the logo of one of the plant based alternative to meat product line that she is an investor of.
While in thought both outfits are nice, yet again, if these are not worn again by the said celebs, the point of sustainability is completely lost.

Opting to wear a Vaishali S design again to the Elle Sustainability Awards was Raveena, this time picking a red handwoven and hand crafted sari by the designer. I thought she looked great here.

Samantha attended the Elle Sustainability Awards wearing her wedding gown that was re-purposed into a black strapless one. Upon asking for more transparency, Kresha’s team clarified for me how much of the original gown was used and how it was re-purposed and it was good to see that a lot of it was not wasted.
Did Samantha look nice here? Absolutely. But, the true sustainability test here is if we see her wear the repurposed gown way more than once.
