Aditi, who is at Cannes repping a luxury car company, did a few interviews wearing a red Raw Mango sari paired with a choker and then walked the red carpet wearing a strapless gown from Rahul Mishra. The sari made for a nice change to see at the film festival. As for the gown, the finishing touches felt a bit underwhelming.

Janhvi attended the photocall and screening of her movie at Cannes wearing a custom Anamika Khanna creation featuring an embroidered backless bodice and light green skirt with an embroidered border. Kundan jewellery finished out her look including a neckpiece that went down her back highlighting the backless bodice.

The jewelled back is very reminiscent of Cate in her Gaultier but coming back to Ms. Kapoor, this was an interesting look but also very Sonam coded.

Wearing a vintage embroidered gown and jacket from Dior (from Galliano era), Natasha walked the red carpet at Cannes during the screening of Vie Privée. A touch of India came by way of the kundan necklace. Point to note here that even though this was a big red carpet event, Ms. Poonawalla showed restraint by not overshadowing the cast here.

P.S. If you didn’t know, the Poonawalla’s have a 49% share in Dharma Entertainment and Dharma’s movie Homebound is officially screening at the festival.

The cast of Homebound walked the red carpet at the screening of Vie Privée and Janhvi was seen wearing a pink corset top and lehenga skirt from Tarun Tahiliani. Between the light pink and plissé material, the gown felt ethnic enough without venturing too much into the bridal lehenga territory. She looked nice here.

Halle attended a dinner hosted by Chopard at Cannes on Monday evening wearing a strapless corset gown from Gaurav Gupta paired with matching colored sandals. I am a bit tired of these corset bodice designs but the skirt portion more than made up for it. She looked good!
