Janhvi attended the photocall and screening of her movie at Cannes wearing a custom Anamika Khanna creation featuring an embroidered backless bodice and light green skirt with an embroidered border. Kundan jewellery finished out her look including a neckpiece that went down her back highlighting the backless bodice.
The jewelled back is very reminiscent of Cate in her Gaultier but coming back to Ms. Kapoor, this was an interesting look but also very Sonam coded.

I think the neckline needed to be a little lower to showcase its design better. Her makeup is very lovely in this.
The skirt is a bit all over the place in these pix, alas. It looked so much better in the Insta pix. But overall, much preferred this to the TT look — the sea green color’s amazing for Cannes, the bodice showcases Indian craftsmanship beautifully, the jewels gel with the look — it says India Modern much more emphatically than the TT outfit.

The person who should be featured from this movie is Vishal Jethwa. He did fine in a bird suit that seemed to have unapologetically travelled from an Indian small town to Cannes.
Of course it is Sonam coded, it is the Bollywood circle jerk styling.
Seems a bit dated like a lehenga from 90s 20s
After seeing Urvashi at Cannes, anything and everything is an improvement.
One thing that stood out in this look is choice of jewelry with meenakari standing out.
