The cast of Homebound walked the red carpet at the screening of Vie Privée and Janhvi was seen wearing a pink corset top and lehenga skirt from Tarun Tahiliani. Between the light pink and plissé material, the gown felt ethnic enough without venturing too much into the bridal lehenga territory. She looked nice here.

I like the drape over her head but what exactly is the reason for wearing those pearls. The skirt is not nice.
She’s trying too hard . It’s the dress wearing her and not the other way around. But she does look sweet .

This is what i don’t get. The craft of the outfit is spectacular, I’m sure the pleating and fluting and whatever other techniques TT employed are marvelous. Does it add up to something that will bring the Cannes red carpet to a standstill though? Umm….
What sense or aesthetic does the lehenga/skirt/dress make at a French film festive in day time. If she was doing an ode to her mother she could’ve worn the nicest of South Indian outfit with same grace.
The colour washes her out. And she doesn’t seem to be carrying it off for me. Something missing.
Conceptually the design though is cool.
The cape /dupatta draped over head makes it look very dated ..n pearls make it worse… This is the most covered up neckline jhanvi has ever spotted.
The pearls are terrible
not for her. bhumi would have looked better.
