Samantha attended a press meet for her movie wearing a painted sari by Pichhika. She sure looked lovely.
Having said that though, the custom branding with the movie’s name on this one seems a bit silly and also limits the rewearability of the sari. I felt the same way with the one on Kareena as well. It’s not like she is going to wear the sari again so it felt wasteful. I sure do hope both of them prove me wrong.

Sure it’s a bit too cutesy, but unlike Samantha, why wouldn’t Kareena wear something with her personal nickname again?
I do wish the names were on the pallu, though – would be much more subtle and organic.
Agree. It would’ve been more subtle, had it been on the pallu. I find the bigger issue is the blouse. The halter straps are too bare, and throw off the proportions.
I like it when Samantha keeps it original and real. Whats the point of wearing a saree similar to what
Kareena wore only recently? Her previous appearances were so inspired and refreshing. This is not.
How will Samantha know that Kareena wore it recently? Except for the name printed, Samantha wore the sari really well.
That’s her stylist’s job, no? I would assume that’s part of the job profile, apart from trying to get their artiste featured on fashion blogs and magazines.
Agree, esp as the saree is quite pretty its a shame that it cannot be worn out of context
Did not notice the bebop lettering on d sari when kareena attended the kajol sharma show. The sari colours r so dreamy , why ruin it this way.
When I saw it on Kareena I was actually like Wow !!
But now that I’ve seen on so many people and it’s repetitive I’m finding it super silly

I wish they did… I sooo wish!!
I mean I understand if you’re in kindergarten and your mom needs to print your name on your lunch box, jacket and everything else so you don’t lose it. Or if you’re under 3 and can’t yet say your name and need a name tag so people can identify you if you get lost to return you to your parents. Other than that, I hope they’re not getting early onset amnesia that they need to emblazon their clothes with their names to remember who they are.

HHC, come on now, how many of these ladies or those featured on your pages have reworn their outfits? a few and far between. Sorta late for you all to be wondering that question, don’t you think? These are all one-time affairs with these superstars… hopefully the designers will sell a few of these custom sarees who will go on to repeat their sarees again and again. It is too much to expect these stars to repeat outfits much less think of it even. Please.
If you are photoshopping, photoshop both arms people. BOTH arms. It’s not that difficult, is it?

Samantha’s versions seems a bit gimmicky to me- with the movie name printed..comes across more like a poster or a banner!
