While the majority of men who attended the reception stuck to a formal suit, we had a few others who went the desi route and instantly stood out.
Jim Sarbh in Rohit Bal and Rahul Bose’s looks were both winners.

I like Jim Sarah’s look too but I had a chuckle at that perfect camouflage with the flower wall?
To me it’s looking like an optical illusion. But luurrvv Jim Sarbh so can’t look away. 😛 😛 Kudos for rocking that flowery kurta.

Yeah wish he had worn it with a kurta. I love how bengali men still keep this tradition, albeit at shaadi functions. Love a man in crisply starched kurta and dhoti.
Really chuffed to see a dhoti at a black tie event! Though I admit I am biased being a Bengali 🙂

Rahul has to be the best dressed among these men. Interestingly, both Jim Sarbh and Rohit Bal himself wore the same kurta to this reception.
You know R. Bal himself wore the exact same printed kurta (short) at the same event, which I found a tad bit annoying. Couldn’t he wear something different than his client
Except for Rahul Bose’s shoes….they don’t go with the dhoti
Jim Sarbh looks great but it is a tad too much for someone else’s wedding.
Dhoti is worn in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Kerala, as well
And it’s draped differently in each of those regions. This one on Rahul looks like it’s either readymade or draped (not too well tbh) in a Bengali style (the ones in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh typically have more gathers, and the drape in Tamil Nadu is pulled back at the center, not left open to touch the floor).
Oh my..Rahul Bose looks fantastic ! Really carries off this look well.
