I wish Indian weddings didn’t have to have the mandatory bling. When I got married everyone told me a 100 times that I was dressed too simply and that I didn’t “look like a bride”. Why do we insist that our brides look like xmas trees? :-( Her dress has way too much glitter.

haha..well you are wishing for the wrong thing..you should be praying for indian aunties minding their own business and not pushing their views on others..
and i think that because of the hot Indian weather blingy stuff can’t be worn on regular basis (at least by the normal non-celeb ppl) so it is so great to wear bling on weddings and occasions..its so festive and happy..everyone should dress on their wedding day the way they want..be it xmas tree or cactus.. :P

why do we think bling = christmas tree. or red and green = christmas tree. Hate these western imposed fashion rules.

Its not mandatory but as a bride it is your day! You deserve to be the center of all attraction and dress OTT! After all you are spending a bomb on your clothes, so why not go all out?
