    Wrong caption, ladies! :)

The cover is so ordinary. She looks just about okay.

Cover looks ok – it is pretty but unexciting.
Miral looks really promising – Freida has definitely made some good movie choices post slumdog.

there is something so earthy and grounded about her face! I like. And what’s not to love about those earrings. All emerald earrings remind me of Julianne moore’s BVLGARI ad….drooooool

I think the same. Understated, classic, simple, Beautiful !!! Nice features. Gorgeous think black indian hair. LUV !

different from all the other extremely photoshopped shoots with big hair and big brands !

      Way to go, girl !

Anjelina Jolie too started a craze with emerlads after she was spotted with 115 carats of massive emerald earrings in a red carpet appearance. I too am obssessed with emeralds after that…..sigh!

Thx a lot for posting pnp.According to WWD Pinto is the first south asian women to be featured on the coveted september issue of major magazine cover in West.

She is also featured on the cover of InStyle magazine and is looking smoking hot in that spread.

Pinto has an effortless international beauty. Her looks transcend geography and she has an amazing screen presence.she is getting all these big budget films(Rise of apes and immortals) mainly due to her latina look.

    1. Chocolate Martini at | | Reply

Latina look??? She looks like the NOrth Indian girl-next-door to me!! Far less international than say, Ash Rai or Diana Penty or Lisa Haydon or Neha Dupia. Why cant we just accept that the world can appreciate good-looking, desi, dusky women?

      1. @choclate martini at | | Reply

Many in america does think she look like latina. If u don’t believe me just look at her imdb message board. Most of the posts are like she look like mexican, brazilian etc.She is also playing the role of mexican women in Rise of apes and Greek in immortals.Do u think a big production company like fox studios(Rise of apes) and universal pics(immortals) would cast her as greek or mexican women if she look like indian girl?

i dont get the big deal about this girl. she looks ordinary on the cover.

aaaaawesome! love tis girl and her cool style. she rarely falters! boohoo to all those out there who think she is sooo ordinary looking and all that…

Hmm I thought lovely but unexceptional.

Then I hopped on over to check Instyle and saw Scarlett looking ghastly (is that even possible). And a heavily photoshopped Freida spread.

Then I thought thank you T.

And seriously there needs to be a movement against magazines that take perfectly pretty girls and turn them into identical fembots in identical styling.

beautiful!! the picture might appear ordinary to some people but actually thats the best part because im sick of looking at over exaggerated photoshoping of pictures where we look and admire faces that doesn’t even exist in real life.

Agree. I think you have summed up perfectly what’s right with this cover and what is so wrong with a lot of covers we have been seeing lately

I dont really care much for freida, but the cover is so eyacatchingly simple and brilliant.

Pnp is there any indian before freida who has appeared on the cover of famous fashion magazine in America?..does this magazine comes free with Sunday New york times newspaper?..pls reply me

hardly anything to like on/about the cover … she is ordinary and i don’t see any charm or even elegance for that matter… if i need to look at ordinary, i would look around and see at the prettier faces in my office … why spend on a mag?

    *see the..sorry

So earthy, so natural and classy. This is indeed a fresh approach amidst a slew photoshopped covers. She looks beautiful in a very classy way. Love it.

  22. @sud at | | Reply

You may find her average looking, but many in america would buy this magazine just for freida.Almost everyone here consider her as great beauty.Like someone here said pinto is more successful in the west only because of her non indian look.she could easily pass off as latina.

  23. Sunnit at | | Reply

I think she resembled Jessica Biel in this profile who I think is absolutely gorgeous and so is Frieda.

Not huge on the cover but there is stil something lovely about her and i have a feeling she is gonna be up for a few nominations with miral! Good for her!

The styling could’ve been better in this pic. This dress BEGS for sapphire earrings! Would’ve made a world of difference to the picture.
