In Twos

Kanika attended Manish’s Diwali party on Tuesday in a net chain-mailish like sari and then the Vogue Force of Fashion event in a Giuseppe Di Morabito sequin structured dress paired with statement Schiaparelli bow sandals and a Schiaparelli finger ring.

The sari is actually pretty bad but Ms. Kapoor has a way of making things look better than they are by styling them well. So was the case as well with the Morabito dress. She looked striking in both.

In Schiaparelli

Natasha attended the Killer Of The Flower Moon premiere at Cannes on Saturday evening wearing an off-shoulder Schiaparelli gown featuring a gold jewelled necklace halter detail. Going by her previous outings, this was actually quite a restrained look and I was surprised by it. Given she walked the red carpet, am shocked she didn’t pick an avante garde gown. And while the sparkly platform shoes were a bit of a downer here, I’ll still take this look. She looked good. Ankles up.

In Schiaperelli

Natasha delivered in her Schiaparelli gown at the MET Gala, and then some. I loved it. The hair and make-up complemented the gown well and the gown itself was a clever wink and a nod to Karl’s cat. This outing reminds me of vintage Nat P, when the looks she picked spoke to her personal style and she’d own the room in ’em (versus now when the “look” usually enters the room first and eventually you take in the woman wearing it).

In Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Schiaparelli

Day two of NMACC opening festivities saw Natasha in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla long kurta and structured gold sequin cape. This is where we now enter the case of “getting carried away”. In Mrs. Poonawalla’s case, her penchant to do More More More. I, though, don’t like it. Geddit, geddit?

The addition of the Schiaparelli clutch, I don’t mind but those boots had no place here. It just looked ridiculous. She wore them so well though at the label’s presentation with the silk pantsuit. See it inside.
