In Manish Arora

Keiynan Lonsdale, who stars in DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, attended the Met Gala on Monday wearing Manish Arora’s butterfly gown from the designer’s Spring 2008 collection.

Totally loved seeing not only an Indian designer at the event but one whose ethos totally fit the theme!

P.S. In case you missed it, Manish Arora’s circus tent also was part of the exhibit. See below.

In Prabal Gurung

Wearing a Prabal Gurung gown, Isha attended the Met Gala 2019 on Monday evening. Yes, it was safe but then we’re also talking about Ms. Ambani. Never seen her step out of her comfort zone.

In Peter Dundas

Natasha attended the Met Gala on Monday wearing a custom Peter Dundas gown. While she wore her hair half up before leaving, by the time she attended the event, it seems like she changed her mind.

Her attempt at the theme was adding the maang tikka which I thought wasn’t enough. If she wanted to add an Indian element to it, I wish she’d picked a more ornate maatha patti and just owned it. What did you think?

In Zac Posen

Elvira does Bollywood. That’s the vibe Deepika gave us in her Zac Posen gown, bouffant and dark lip. Campy was the route to take, and that she did. Was she among our favorites from the night? Not in the top 10. But did she do well? Yes. And for someone who always goes for the conventional sexy/pretty, this makes for quite the change. And for that, props!

In Dior Haute Couture

Wearing Dior Haute Couture, Priyanka attended the 2019 Met Gala on Monday evening. I know this look will get very polarizing views but keep in mind that the theme of this year’s gala was “Camp: Notes On Fashion,” a play on writer Susan Sontag’s seminal essay, “Notes on Camp.”.

To go with the theme was to do something in exaggeration which Ms. Chopra sure did and I loved it!
