Janhvi attended the photocall and screening of her movie at Cannes wearing a custom Anamika Khanna creation featuring an embroidered backless bodice and light green skirt with an embroidered border. Kundan jewellery finished out her look including a neckpiece that went down her back highlighting the backless bodice.

The jewelled back is very reminiscent of Cate in her Gaultier but coming back to Ms. Kapoor, this was an interesting look but also very Sonam coded.

The cast of Homebound walked the red carpet at the screening of Vie Privée and Janhvi was seen wearing a pink corset top and lehenga skirt from Tarun Tahiliani. Between the light pink and plissé material, the gown felt ethnic enough without venturing too much into the bridal lehenga territory. She looked nice here.

Janhvi was seen at the Vivienne Westwood show that took place in Mumbai by the Gateway of India wearing a strapless gown from the label. Ask me and there really wasn’t anything Westwood about this gown. This could very well be an Itrh design and none of us would know the difference.

Also to add, Ms. Kapoor seems to be wanting to embrace this silhouette as her signature one (going by her comments at the AFEW show), and now whether that is a good thing or bad, time will tell.

Janhvi opted for a tailored pantsuit from Alexander McQueen to wear to the Power List unveiling event hosted by The Hollywood Reporter India pairing the suit with a metallic snakeskin Loro Piana bag. The suit made for a very welcome change from the usual fare we always see her in. Having said that wish she’d worn her hair in a more formal updo.

Wearing what seemed like was a Gaurav Gupta gown, Janhvi attended an awards event on Thursday evening. We’ve seen her do so many variations of these that this didn’t feel like it stood out. Yawn.
