Sari Style

Bhumi attended an awards event hosted by Maharashtra Times and opted to sport a bright orange Paithani sari draped the seedha palla way paired with a jewelled ornate blouse from Pankaj S Heritage. A hasli, earrings, bangles, and a half moon bindi finished out her “Marathi Mulgi” look.

This was a striking look and she looked great. Glad she kept the drape simple and didn’t try to also do the Nauvari else it would’ve felt way too costumey.

  2. i loved the saree and the blouse hate the way it has been draped. the stylist could have chosen a n vintage neckpiece with this beautiful saree…clearly her stylist doesn’t know how to style traditional weaves…..she should have just gone through Shobha de or Ambika Raje’s instagram page before styling bhumi

  3. blouse is not working.. half exposed boob is not working…. front pallu – mixed for me.. just not used to seeing the paithani weave like that.. but good on her for trying it!
And yeah, the designer attached their label in the most gawd awful spot.

  4. This is an absolutely stunning Paithani. So happy to see Bhumi representing her Maharashtrian roots.
Was terribly disappointed in the Tendulkars not showcasing their Maharashtrian ethnicity during Arjun’s wedding. No Paithani, no mundavlya on the forehead, no Nath in the nose, no Shaaloo, no Nauvaree Saree that should have been front and center.
The Tendulkar wedding looked like a run of the mill Ambani style or Bollywood type wedding with Manish Malhotra dominance. Anjali and Sara sure missed a golden opportunity.
