Wearing a Diffuse By Manish Malhotra gown, Janhvi attended an Awards event last evening. A high ponytail and matching silver cuffs on either hand rounded out the actor’s look. I am not the biggest fan of this gown- the metallic pattern and the way the fabric photographed looked both dated and inexpensive. The choice of jewelry was off too! Ms. Kapoor can do so much better.

Janhvi attended the Filmfare Awards in a strapless Gauri and Nainika gown paired with a diamond choker. I wish she’d opted for a softer necklace to go with the gown but overall she did look lovely. What a difference a well made gown in a delish color makes!

At a recent Awards event, Janhvi was photographed in a cut-out gown by Marc Bouwer. Minus the choice of color, which I was fully on board with, can’t say I was a big fan of the gown itself- the straps with the halter-neck just looks odd. The placement of the cut-outs didn’t help either!

Also, consider this your periodic reminder- what works on Instagram doesn’t necessarily work in real life.

At the Style Icon Awards event, Janhvi was seen in a Gaurav Gupta crop top and skirt set. The color sure was striking and with that sleek hair styling, Janhvi sure looked good. Having said that though, this look also felt very Kim Kardshian-esque. It’s almost like the outfit is Kim but her face with that hair style has this Lourdes (Madonna’s daughter) look to it.

It was Manish Malhotra for Janhvi to both NMACC opening events. She wasn’t seen on the green carpet the opening night but did pose for the paps for the second one. Between the two and considering we’ve seen so many do lehengas of late, the gown appearance was the one I was drawn to. Just wish she’d skipped the maang tikka. What could’ve been a nice striking look became a Bolly-ish one just with that addition.
