Wearing a mock-neck backless dress from Self-Cntrd, Rakul attended the GQ Best dressed cocktail event on Friday evening. In theory, a simple black dress is always a winner. But between that slight flare in the dress, the mock-neck and then the pairing of it with those mules just made this feel very mumsy. It wasn’t screaming cocktail chic to me as was the aim.

I think the midi length is giving the mumsy vibes, had it been full length would have been more impactful. A top high pony would have made it even more edgier. That said she does look nice and it still is a nice dress
