In Manav Gangwani

If you thought you saw all the Manav Gangwani looks that were there to be seen on the Green Carpet, think again. These ladies too were in the said designer’s creations, they choosing to wear saris over gowns.

It was a sheer embellished black sari for Riya and an ombré one for Natasha. We don’t care for either but have got to say, Natasha does fare better by a slim margin.

In Elie Saab

A drop dead gorgeous look from Ms. Rai in an Elie Saab and Longines only released tiny pics. They ought to know better than to restrict this stellar appearance to only 150 X 260 pixels. 😛

Update: Thanks ‘Aniket’, ‘Nidhi’ and ‘Alisha’ for pointing us to the bigger pics.

Of LBDs

Ms. Kapoor looked great waist-up at a recent launch but there were just so many competing elements as far as her look itself was concerned… between the stark white watch, screaming red nails and gold YSL heels, it was all a bit too much. Pity, the BeBe dress (that was also spotted on Shamita Shetty) in itself was enough to make an impact.

On an aside, looks like the heavy eye make-up is getting bit of a rest. Did the recent People magazine cover have anything to do with it? 😉

Thanks ‘Jerseygirl’ for triggering our memory!

Maxi’mum Summer

Two beautiful women, two rather unfortunate dresses. What were they thinking?

Elephanta Tales

If you live in London, you’ve probably noticed brightly colored baby elephants all around the streets. These baby elephants are part of the Elephant Parade, a conservation campaign that is trying to highlight the crisis faced by endangered Asian elephant.

Corporations, fashion designers and artists came together to put this project together and there are several of them featuring Indian influences too. From the design world, designers Abu-Sandeep, Manish Arora and Tarun Tahiliani have one of their own. From the arts world, Nilesh Mistry got to design not one but three.

But, the most surprising part of the parade has got to be that all the IPL Teams also have one of their own. Where India is concerned, Cricket does trump everything else.

Catch all of the designs inside and thanks ‘Kirthi’ for bringing the parade to our attention.

P.S. If you can’t cover it all (considering they are spread out all over the city), you can catch all of the elephants on the official viewing days at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on the 25th, 26th and 28th of June. Get more info Here.
