In just a few hours a new Miss Universe will be crowned and in the running is also Miss India Ekta Chowdhry. While we wish her the best of luck, here is a looksee at some more outfits she wore past two weeks in Nassau, Bahamas. You can catch her National Costume outfit here.
There has been a lot of chatter that she will be wearing a variation of this Gauri Nainika dress seen in a different version on Aishwarya at the Drona premiere. But, from what we know the gown shown in the evening gown competition (in Ekta’s case: the red one below) is almost always the gown the contestants wear to the final event. Guess, we’ll have to wait till the telecast to see what she wears!
P.S. Yes, that is the same Ranna Gill we’ve seen before on the designer Ranna and also in a blue version on Sonali.

Dita Von Teese sported one in L’Officiel India (see here) and now Gisele Bündchen dons a Suneet Verma sari for an upcoming issue of Vogue India. The supermodel wears a green sari by the designer in this preview picture shot by Patrick Demarchelier. (If you don’t know his work then you’ll probably remember him being mentioned by Meryl’s character in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’)
We’ll just have to wait a tad bit longer to see whether Gisele’s spread is better than Dita’s.

Tina Tahiliani (sister of designer Tarun Tahiliani) was spotted wearing the same Anamika Khanna kurta seen first on Madhoo (see here ). Two appearances off the runway and both times I have been disappointed. I hated the way Madhoo wore it and although Tina does better by wearing a churidaar, there is just too much beige going on for my taste. Black leggings/churidaars and I probably would have loved it on her.
