this version is not very nice either.. perhaps less tacky looking than the blue but not so much.. I like the idea of the netty material over the dress but the white and blue don’t work for me together..
and the cleavage line looks creepy..
Though both dresses work great. I love the way the print is incorporated into the design in the show. The diagonal placement of the print on Ash’s outfit does not add much to the outfit. but both are very well tailored and gorgeous.
like the runway version a whole lot better – in any case, she was overdressed for the occasion so it looked odd. If she had worn it to an awards event, perhaps i would have looked at it more kindly..
The dress looks great but for the pleated portion, the pleats donot show as much in the white version.
Somehow the shiny blue fabric with excessive pleats look very gaudy..and pleats arent even stitched smoothly…looks like a home sewn amateurish attempt on the blue one.
The fishtail on the runway version makes the dress look less tacky.
i don’t like either dress. the runway one is an exagerration of the classic mermaid silhouette. aishwarya manages to carry it off because of her gorgeousness.
both look ugly. the blue fabric looks cheap. and the pleats look tacky
I HATE the cloth/material which this dress is made of. It reminds me of the gauzy shiny look of my high school gown (which was also the same color as Ash’s dress).
Both are terrible, Ash’s dress is a shade worse….reminds me of tacky furnishing shops
hate the fishtail but gotta give ash props for carrying an ugly dress gracefully
doesn’t make a difference the two version are not very good, Aishwarya i love you but you have to break away from the fishtail
disgusting design all over again.. white and blue stripes.. diagonally and strategically placed? yuck is what comes to mind..
personally, I LOVE the drama of a good mermaid dress..but I hate the print on both dresses

I don’t like either version. The fishtail can be glamourous, but in this case with the shiny fabric and cheap netting it just ends up looking like a fish.
On a side note, what’s up with Aishwarya’s chest – her boob region looks FANTASTIC! (actually now that I look at it, her skin is looking very nice, not sure if its good skin care or good makeup)
now the runway version looks far better. atleast you can see the net. hers looks like something from an item number
Ash looks hideous in the dress.
Gauri and Nainika have gone over-board with the net detailing that they do as a part of value-addition to the fabric surface. I mean it now looks like their label is dependent on only these 2-3 techniques of styling. Signature is one thing and running outta ideas is quite another.
Time to party less for the duo and work hard a bit more.
The Ramp thing looks better coz the drama the dress creates befits only the ramp and nothing lower than that. Period.
this peacock shade suit her very well. she looks nice here, i think.
I think a fabulous dress looks fabulous – it is the way your body moves in it….it did not work for Aishwarya Rai !!
