In Gulabo By Abu Sandeep

Aiswharya was seen at the Ambani Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in a sky blue salwar kurta from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s Gulabo line. The silhouette was a very welcome change from the OTT anarkalis that we last saw her in.

    • Payal is probably pointing out that Aishwarya isn’t wearing an Anarkali, a silhouette she prefers. I think Aishwarya looks great in anarkalis, but she wears them too frequently and it’s often gaudy.

  1. This is fairly simple & informal for a Bollywood gathering even tho it’s religious. Not her trademark look thank god but boring & dowdy. Maybe some good mules or high heels would have made it look better .

  2. she looks like a behn g and by that I mean what an average lady would wear in a small get together at ‘her’ home and not a grand celebration she was invited to

    • Many people probably felt like they were invited to a Ganesh Chathurthi success bash 😀 😀 😀

It’s not really festive; rather, it appears to be a party – difficult to pinpoint why this is the case – perhaps because people are posing for photos, and overall, it appears to be a networking event held in the evening.

  3. Face of an angel. As much as we want her to change her style – I admire that she hasn’t given in to the stylist culture and in some ways gives two hoots what she wears!

    • How do you know she doesn’t have a stylist? It’s not like you have to blindly follow one, these outfits may be a result of both her stylist and her own taste. She is always wearing top designers, mostly Abu and Sandeep who the Bachchan clan favors. My only issue with her dressing, is if she would change up her hair and make up. She’s such a beautiful lady and I have no idea why she covers the sides of her face with that straight hair and wear ONLY red lipstick + blingy anarkali’s. The suit is a nice color and thank God it’s simple so thats a welcome change.

  4. It’s a punjabi suit and the work on dupatta is called phulkari. It’s done by hand by crafts women and involves a lot of time and sweat. Although the thread used is not what is traditionally used. However the fact that a designer had incorporated this in his design is much appreciated.
