A Yellow Yellow Summer!

If there was dominant color this summer, it had to be yellow!

In the print world, we saw Shilpa in Verve, Preity in Vogue and and Lara in FNL.

One of the few times that Kirron didn’t sport her ‘sari’ look, we saw her in a yellow salwar-kameez and boy did she steal the show from everyone present! Raveena also looked radiant in canary yellow when she ditched her basic blacks. We hope she does it more often.

Alas, Poonam and Naghma didn’t impress as much.

The color looked great on evening gowns as evident by Dia’s Shantanu-Nikhil number and Katrina’s mellow gown.

Diya Mirza and Katrina Kaif

Some of our stars loved wearing it again and again throughout the summer and did it well too!

Neha Dhupia

Malaika Arora Khan

Anchal Kumar and Sameera Reddy

Yellow was not just limited to clothes. We saw quite a few accessorize and do it well too. We loved Twinkle’s yellow Bottega and the splash of color Gauri and Ramya provided with their shoes.

As always not everyone did it right and one look below tells you who didn’t!

Now, that summer is over, are you as curious as we are about what is going to be the color of winter?

  1. i miss preity !! where is she
i heard that she is going to be in toronto film festival
her film heaven on earth by deepa mehata is premire in this festival coming saturday
i hope she wears something nice!!

  2. Agree with Adit – Indian skin is perfect for the various shades of yellow. Although Diya is so pretty, she looks a little washed out in that dress. I’ve read many compliments for Malaika in the yellow dress with the pink louboutins, but I didn’t like that get up one bit. Glaring combination that would have been surely fiasco in any other case.
