Well this week for Throwback Thursday (or more like Flashback Friday for some of you), I am throwing it back to Har Kisiko from Janbaaz.
Ask anyone about Sridevi and her sari looks from back then, and the first answer you’ll get is the blue chiffon from Mr. India. But, for me, it was this song that had me totally mesmerized. It also helped that the song was just so good (and so much better than its remake.)
P.S. Do you remember Rekha’s number from this movie. That was also another favorite. Song, that is.

Sridevi attended the Masala Awards in Dubai on Wednesday wearing a Manish Malhotra gown that had a sheer neckline and cape with a sheer fringe dupatta.
If that bust was plain, I may have liked this, but as is, not a fan. Not one bit. The giant crystals looked so bad. I wish she’d just gone with a sari by the designer. She does so much better in them.

I think Sridevi binge watched The Crown recently. That’s the only way I can explain this appearance at the Lux Golden Rose Awards. If the gown itself wasn’t meh enough, styling it with that big updo and wear all that jewellery together made the look feel so so dated.
If she was trying to channel old world glamour, she failed miserably. Did not like this one bit.

After giving us a fabulous sari appearance on Sunday, Sridevi was spotted in another blue look later in the evening at the Ambani bash in Alberta Ferretti denim separates.
I guess it’s the universe’s way of doing a balancing act. How else do you explain this? Because I seriously cannot figure out why she would be drawn to either of the two pieces and worse, wear them together!
