It was a Vionnet dress for Sonam while at the recent Awards event. Wearing her hair down, the actor finished out the look with a matching white minaudière and jewelry from Nirav Modi. First things first, love the dress on her. Paired with the jewelry, it has this art deco decadence about it that I dig. But the hair and make-up sure put a dampener on things. Didn’t work with the gown at all and instead of putting a Grecian spin on it, ended up just looking matronly. Bummer!

After attending a press meet and a screening, Sonam switched into another outfit at the end of the night on Thursday wearing a P.E.L.L.A. maxi with jewellery from Suhani Pittie.

The grecian-inspired outfit sure looked comfy but can’t say am a fan of the maxi itself. Were you?

Sonam attended a press meet for the upcoming FLO Films Festival wearing a Natasha J lehenga with Dhora earrings and an Amrapali necklace. Wearing the white coat over the shoulders sure had a striking effect but I really question the practicality of wearing it throughout. Perhaps removing it while at the event would have seemed a bit more natural. No?

She did wear the coat eventually at a screening of Neerja later in the day.

Wearing Ferragamo, Sonam attended an event held in Delhi recently. An interesting top knot, Acne aviators, Stuart Weitzman boots and Hermès Kelly finished out the actor’s look.

As is the case with most of her appearances, but perhaps especially so with this one, the opinions are bound to be polarized. Go ahead and call me biased but I unequivocally loved it. To me it is very reminiscent of Japanese designers in late Eighties and the whole look, top knot and al reminds me of the likes of say Yohji Yamamoto (designer) and Nick Knight (photographer) from that period. She owned it!
