In Anavila

Anavila launched her store in Mumbai and lending her support at the launch was Sonam Kapoor wearing a white sari with a leaf-pattern blouse, both from the designer.

Jewellery from Amrapali and a white potli finished out her look. Waist up, she looked cute. Waist down, the issue was with the pleats. Them being a lot more off-centered made the safety pins stand out a whole lot more. A problem easily solved by making the pallu pleats a bit more broader. Am just glad to see that even the stars sometimes need extra help with their pleats. 😛

So are you a “pin it everywhere” kinda a person or are you more the “I go pin-free always“! 😉

In Anamika Khanna Couture

Sonam, who won an award for Neerja, attended the awards night of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne wearing an Anamika Khanna Couture look fresh off the Couture Week runway.

Pairing the separates with a chunky necklace from Amrapali, her look was finished out with a sleek wet do, red lips and Louboutin pumps.

I loved this look at first sight! It was modern, youthful and after seeing her do these mature looks of late, this one felt very refreshing!

Travel(v)ogue

Sonam jetted off to Melbourne on Wednesday evening to attend the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Given that it is winter in Australia, her Alexandre Vauthier coat look made a lot of sense.

In Roksanda

Sonam attended the launch of a smartphone in Mumbai wearing Roksanda separates from the Pre-Fall 2016 collection. As much as I love that button detail on the blazer, I just couldn’t bring myself to like the overall look. The sleeves on the blazer were just too long and the culottes worn with the blazer just looked odd. Paired with a different top, they might have worked better.

Between the color and the funny fit, the look was dud. Did you like?

Wearing It Two Ways

Sonam attended the screening of the Punjabi movie ‘Chauti Koot’ on Monday evening sporting denim on denim a bit differently. While we are used to seeing denim shirts over denim pants, the actor wore her oversized Bhane denim shirt over another denim one!

She also wore the Bhane shirt all-buttoned up while travelling to London before Cannes. Here as well she sported the top with her navy denims but different boots.

Me, I much preferred her airport look. The denim on denim shirt already felt stuffy and looking at the choker made me feel even more so. Also, the Balenciaga tote made sense while travelling. The Hermès Birkin at the screening, not quite.
