In Twos

Alia spent Christmas with her family wearing a red scarf dress from 431-88 by Shweta Kapur. What was interesting to me was the fact that Summer Away has an exact similar dress just minus the keyhole at the waist but am guessing because she wore the label to another Christmas party (where she seemed to be styled by Rhea), her other stylist Priyanka Kapadia put her in a different label for the family Christmas soiree.

Sari Style: Part Deux

Alia and Ranbir did a griha pravesh puja at their new home where she was seen in a tissue handloom sari, embellished by Manish Malhotra. The sleeve design was interesting and one that I liked.

Anyone able to identify the weave from the design in the pallu? Feels like a tissue kanjeevaram but am probably wrong.

In Masaba

Ananya opted for a sari from Masaba to wear to an awards show pairing it with a pearl and diamond choker. Something about the sari being more cream and the pearl being ultra white, the combo wasn’t coming together for me. I think a nice vintage gold choker would’ve worked better and tied in with that gold strapless blouse.

In Anushka Khanna

Alia attended the Jain-Advani mehendi ceremony wearing a gharara by Anushka Khanna paired with a potli, heavy earrings from Amaris. A contrast of color came via a purple polka dot ribbon which she wore as a parandi. She looked nice.
