Ananya opted for a sari from Masaba to wear to an awards show pairing it with a pearl and diamond choker. Something about the sari being more cream and the pearl being ultra white, the combo wasn’t coming together for me. I think a nice vintage gold choker would’ve worked better and tied in with that gold strapless blouse.

People can’t be matching the color of pearls to sari shades now. That sets expectations far too high, no??

I agree the neckpiece isn’t the best choice. I also feel like she’s done this before?
where is the artistry in this that any designer outfit is expected to have ? a bland tube top in gold and a plain Flow-ey saree to go on it ? i dressed up my barbies in clothes like these when i was 6…. (just saying) since barbies can be made to wear tube tops with just a strip of cloth and fevicol !
She looks elegant.
It’s the hair which is a real bummer. A braid may looked great with this.
The sari really suits her. Her fashion sense has improved so greatly over the years.
This sari doesn’t have a Masaba look to it. I miss the bold prints!

The choker is the highlight…it’s gorgeous. Change the saree!
I’d say she could do better, make a more fun or young look out of this standard cream and gold.
