Of Lehengas

The Kapoor sisters Janvhi and Khushi attended the Ambani-Merchant engagement party wearing Falguni and Shane Peacock and Manish Malhotra lehengas. Between the two, preferred Khushi here minus that pearl potli. Who did you prefer?

Doing Desi

Both Sara and Katrina picked white outfits that featured intricate work for their recent outing, with the former in Manish Malhotra and the latter, in a Ritika Mirchandani. Wearing their hair down, both ladies rounded out their look with taditional earrings. Sara also added a matching fringe bag to the look, also by Manish Malhotra.

Sara looked lovely (we’ll just have to pretend we don’t see the bag)! But if I had to pick a favorite, my vote would go to Katrina. The look is in her wheelhouse and she wears the outfit with enviable effortlessness.

In Manish Malhotra

Wearing an ornate Manish Malhotra suit, Aishwarya attended the Ambani-Merchant engagement party in Mumbai last evening. Aside from the gold-toned accessories, signature hair and make-up rounded out her look.

The green and gold tones work well on her; she looked radiant. But everything else- from the kind of Indianwear she favors to her hair and make-up, it’s just same ol’ same ol’.

In Manish Malhotra

At the Merchant-Ambani engagement party, Janhvi was seen in a pink sari by Manish Malhotra. She did look lovely in it.

In Manish Malhotra

Tamannaah attended the Vogue event wearing a strapless gown by Manish Malhotra. I don’t know about you but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the gown was by him. Having said that though while the gown and Ms. Bhatia looked great, I do think it was a missed opportunity for him and her to showcase more of Indian handicrafts at this event. Maybe a muted piece from his Mijwan collection.

What say you?

P.S. I have had to adjust brightness of the pics to showcase the sequin work.
