Promotions for Tanhaji saw Kajol in a concept Masaba sari featuring a ruched pallu and two different contrast prints. It’s not a sari I like but she sure wore it well. As seems to have been the theme that evening, Kanika didn’t shy away from shimmer either. For the occasion, she picked a sequinned Manish Malhotra sari, one that she teamed with a sheer corset and a voluminous cape that featured beaded tassels and fringe.
A Vogue event is a good place to take fashion risks but this look just wasn’t my cup of tea. I know that the cape was used to bring in drama but it looks so over-designed. Wish she had ditched that and just picked a different corset and worked the heck out of that sari.
