Sophie hosted the Femina Women Awards on Wednesday evening and for the event opted for a gown by, no-points-for-guessing, Manish Malhotra . Her peach gown made for quite a welcome change from the designer’s regular fare. It felt light-weight and elegant.

The only minor gripe we had here was the makeup. It felt a wee bit too heavy handed for the soft gown.

Sonakshi taped Nach Baliye episodes on Thursday wearing a Manish Malhotra gown with jewellery from Mahesh Notandas. She looked pretty here and possibly because the gown had that sleek silhouette and not that overwhelming anarkali feel that some of Mr. Malhotra’s other designs tend to have.

Sridevi visited the sets of Nach Baliye on Tuesday to promote her upcoming movie, Mom. For the appearance, she picked one of Manish Malhotra‘s simpler fare, which was a cream fringe sari paired with a cobalt blue paisley weave blouse.

While I loved the sari and blouse on her, wearing that choker necklace made the top part feel a bit stuffy. Skipping the necklace and adding kundan bangles would’ve worked better. Agree?

Sridevi kicked off Mom promotions this week and was seen wearing a striped Manish Malhotra sari to one of the events. Between the floral embroidery and the stripes, the sari sure felt busy but the simple styling helped balance out the look.

She made it work.

At the Dadasaheb Phalke awards, Saiyami was seen in a red Manish Malhotra floral embroidered gown featuring a gold underskirt. When it comes to Ms. Kher, if it’s not the outfit, then it’s her finishing touches that go wrong.

That wasn’t the case here, though. She nailed it on every front. (Ok, maybe I don’t care for that gold underskirt, but that’s just me!)
