When it came to a recent round of travel, Deepika didn’t veer far from easy separates and comfortable sneakers. Neither look is much to write home about but will take these over super-styled travel outfits.

Wearing an Anamika Khanna embroidered pantsuit featuring a matching cape, Deepika attended the opening night of NMACC in Mumbai. I like the outfit and it’s a good thing she added the red lip to make this feel less one-toned but something felt off and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it is the eye-makeup?

At the Indian Sports Honours awards event, Deepika was seen in a black sari by Sabyasachi paired with a full-sleeve blouse. Given that the designer likes to have the leading ladies wear heavy jewellery as well, the relatively simpler earrings here came as quite a surprise. Having said that though, the novelty of this “Sabya” look (the sari/hairdo/full-sleeveblouse combo) has worn off for me so can’t say am loving it.

The Vanity Fair Oscar party saw Deepika changed into a pink feather mini dress by Naeem Khan paired with Cartier jewellery, glittery black stockings and Louboutins. One normally sees folks in formal gowns at this event and so her pick of the mini felt a bit out of place.

Wearing a custom Louis Vuitton gown paired with a statement Cartier necklace, Deepika attended the 2023 Oscar Awards in Los Angeles. I have to admit it was a huge relief to see her wear a classic gown instead of the cray-cray futuristic designs we’ve been seeing on the LV runway. The gown did her justice. She looked drop dead gorgeous!
