Wearing an Anamika Khanna embroidered pantsuit featuring a matching cape, Deepika attended the opening night of NMACC in Mumbai. I like the outfit and it’s a good thing she added the red lip to make this feel less one-toned but something felt off and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it is the eye-makeup?

Well firstly, I don’t know how but a statuesque lady like Deepika is getting lost in the amount of fabric pooling around; there is just no shape or definition to this outfit.
The colours and embroidery are beautiful.
Next, yep the make up is very lack lustre – and I think it’s because the eyes are very lightly done, so the whole look is very imbalanced.
Wish she had left her hair down, done a Smokey eye and a peach/brown lip.
Since the outfit is really OTT, I think the somewhat muted make-up actually works. Love the red lip.
Is this their remarriage, reception.. bw is back with Indian garish wear..
I liked the maang-tika and the makeup and the hair but not what she was wearing.
I feel it’s the pants if it was a skirt it probably would’ve looked better with the maang tika etc

Horrendous outfit. The print is so bad. The make up is also ghastly, her eyes look dead. This one is really bad.

her make up IS ghastly. the lady is lovely but this is a fashion critique site so i’m sure the criticism is not to be taken personally.
the maang tika looks so gimmicky. the colours of the outfit don’t suit her.
she’s a beautiful person, inside and out (I guess), but I’m sorry this was v disappointing.
I feel she looks nice. I love the accessories and the makeup.
The top and the cape works too.
If the pants were structured she’d look really smashing.
Am gonna be in the minority but actually liked this compared to DP’s other looks. The event is meant to celebrate and portray Indian culture to the global world so many of our Desi stars went a little overboard in their ‘appreciation’-I think the maang tikka is a by-product of that. If you see the Insta pics she uploaded, the overall impact was fab. Also, I actually liked the makeup-her usual smokey eyes would have killed this, the lighter eye is so much better.
The jewelry is over the top… For weddings she turns up simpler than this. The lip colour also is too harsh for this look.

That thing on her head reminds me of a baby dinosaurs head. I’m glad she’s owning her skin color. For a while, it was all white washed.
A red Bindi would have finished this well.
These photos are the least flattering , the ones on insta ( and I am aware of the amount of editing possible on social media) shows the outfit and whole look in its proper glory. I think she looks stunning
