Alia walked the red carpet on Friday afternoon wearing a custom gown from Schiaparelli styled by Rhea. The gown was modified from the version presented at the 2025 Couture collection and for some reason the end result feels like a watered down Schiaparelli than an original. Add to that this baby hair styling which to me was bordering on black culture appropriation. Overall, I was not feeling this.

I may be the minority here but as always it just feels more like Ms. Kapoor is so busy going for shock via name value or vintage label sourcing, it doesn’t feel like she factors in at all the person who will eventually wear it.

Alia headed out to Cannes late Thursday evening wearing Gucci head to toe. Am thinking she will be wearing Gucci at the red carpet too. Unless, one of you has insider info.

Alia attended a summit organized by the central government wearing a paithani sari and pink sleeveless blouse from Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The paithani pick and nauvari drape was in celebration of Maharashtra day considering the event was in Mumbai.

I applaud her for the effort but the pastel pink blouse didn’t seem to quite work with the rich sari. Just me feeling that way.

Alia hosted a lunch for her fanclub and was seen wearing a Gucci tank and Gucci shaded denims with pointed pumps. The combo looked more effective on the model because of the layered look. On Alia, it looked bare and awkward.
