The ladies both picked high-waisted full skirts for their respective appearances, with one taking a more dressed-down, casual route.

At a magazine’s latest issue launch, its cover girl, Alia paired the skirt with a cropped top and a Topshop jacket (one which we’ve seen on Sophie too). Louboutins and a ponytail finished out her look.

For her movie screening, Huma took a decidedly more casual approach by pairing hers with stockings, tank and a cardi. A ponytail, roomy bag and printed flats finished out her look.

Dressed-up or dressed-down… Have a favorite? We sure can’t pick one. While there’s stuff we like and dislike in both looks, neither jumps out at us. Both could do better!

The Zara frill maxi has been a quite a favorite with celebs. Spotted first on Huma who paired it with a Mango jacket, it (the maxi) was also seen on Deepika last month (see here). We then saw it on Alia and just recently on Hard.

Of all the ladies, does someone’s look jump out at ya?

In Masaba

Alia kept it casual in a Masaba tulip style maxi skirt for the inauguration of an art exhibition. As you can see on the runway, the longer kurta played down the balloon effect of the skirt. In pairing it with a black tank and black ankle sandals, Alia just emphasized it and the result was a look that was not working.

In a Zara maxi, Alia kept things easy and casual while at a recent do. A Jimmy Choo clutch was her lone accessory of choice. You like?

This Friday on the season finale of ‘The Front Row’, you can expect to see Shraddha and Alia.

On Shraddha it’s a Bibhu Mohapatra Resort 2013 dress and on Alia, a Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna top and Zara pants. Both ladies finished out their looks with pumps.

The young actors look pretty good. It’s a tricky top but one that Alia wears well; she looked great! And the feminine, flirty dress works real well on Shraddha too.
