  1. This would have costed a zillion bucks and could have been salvaged with a bindi, brighter make up and a less severe hairstyle.

  2. This is a question and not a complaint: Do Sikh brides not wear sindoor? I watched the sindoor-daan video where everyone was instructing put very little and I don’t see any sindoor here? Is that a personal preference or a norm for Sikh brides?

    • I’m not Indian so can’t comment but I have noticed that since the last decade or so even film and TV characters in Balaji serials do not wear full on sindoor like they did in the 80s films when I was growing up. Is it a trend or is there something regional to it?

    • I dont think bindi or sindoor and even the mangalsutra is part of the Sikh tradition. They might have done is as part of hindu rituals as sonam is a hindu. I am just guessing πŸ™‚

    • MAnglasutra, sindhoor and var mala is not part of Sikh tradition and Sikh brides don’t wear sindhoor and magla sutra. Some brides wear it as a fashion statement.

  3. Sonam has certainly brought her A game to the wedding festivities – Anuradha Vakil, AJSK, Anamika Khanna! She makes a very happy bride and that’s her best accessory.
