In Sabyasachi

Rani also chose to wear Sabyasachi to the Sonam and Anand wedding ceremony wearing a velvet embroidered one featuring a green sheer dupatta. Besides the fact that the velvet just seemed so heavy for the day wedding, that sweetheart neckline and the dupatta worn the way she did just looked awkward. I wish she had styled the dupatta better. Yep, go ahead! You can call me a prude.

  1. ummmm.. no. Among all the lovely summery pastel outfits everyone else is wearing, this stands out like a sore thumb.

  3. Nopes, not at all prude. I too felt ditto. Not everyone has abs like Katrina n that’s absolutely ok. The thing is, wear what suits one’s body. Even Anushka as a bride, who has athletic frame, didn’t wear lehenga this low. If worn this low, then in Rani’s case dupatta’s drape should have been proper. Let’s accept, certain clothes (crop tops, body-cons to name a few) suit only certain body type!!

    • Agreed. Crop tops, Cropped cholis(sans dupatta), body cons and many such types not everyone can wear. Its a fact. But these ladies like Mukerji sisters, Richha dont wear clothes which suit their body type. They just stuff themselves into it because it is trendy and end up looking trashy like this.

    • I doubt Sabya had any say in this. For one its from a collection eons ago that was designed to be worn for a more evening to night wedding.
He would not dress his BFF in deep purple velvet for a morning do with that gawd awful drape.
Karishma was glowing compared to all the guests at that wedding.
      No… this is all Rani.

    • Have some common sense? How can Sabya dress his BFF in a blakish purple(or is it indigo?) velvet lehenga for a morning wedding?
      Impossible that Sabya styled this!
And who drapes a veil like that? This kind of “wt hell was she thinking” – dressing is what made Rani the queen of bad stying.

  5. The lehenga is nice but I agree with the dupatta drape. Also, the dainty necklace looks so odd against the heavy earrings and maang tika. She could’ve skipped the necklace completely.

  6. Nope – not a fan!! why didn’t she get dibs on the summery-springy prints and colors? This looks so heavy and drab.

  7. Love it! Now this is called owning the outfit rather than the last white one where she the dupatta was going everywhere. That was modesty at the cost of slobbery ? Now this one….owning it proudly! Nothing to fault…kudos!!!

  8. Umm.. there are much better pictures of this outfit? These are unflattering. You could have posted the one of her taken indoors where she is sat down… The outfit looks gorgeous!

  9. This is horrible. It is a morning anand karaj. Wear a nice anarkali, palazzo, sharara in beautiful pastel colours. This is a dated reception look from 3 years ago.
