Sangeet Style
For her sangeet, Sneha Reddy wore an embellished, shimmery lehenga with an ombré dupatta. We think the bride-to-be looked lovely. Best wishes!

too much glitter. i guess that’s a must at indian weddings.
she looks so much like Gracy Singh! 🙂
she looked way better for her engagement than here. the dupatta is making the outfit look tacky. Heart the necklace though.
agree she looked much better at the engagement. the necklace looks so similar to the engagement one but it is different. gosh they must be loaded:)
Love the outfit!! Who designed this one for her?
I dont like her lipstick. Rather caky. Otherwise its a nice look.
But out of ignorance, since when did Telugu ppl have Sangeet ?
Was wondering the same thing…
Yes, sangeet is not part of the South Indian pre-wedding functions but what’s the fun quotient if there’s no naach-gaana?
somebody lifted the exact sentence word-to-word from a website..
Lol, Kasthuri! I too have been wondering about the strange mish-mash of customs and traditions occurring across India lately – assume it is due to the celebration of the big fat Indian wedding scene across Bollywood – or a move towards national integration??!
Sangeet/ Mehndi is becoming a normal thing in the south. Major Bollywood influence. Its fun, so why not? As long as the traditional ceremonies do not get replaced.
I like the skirt part of the lehenga a lot. Good glitter.
i guess its a celebrity thingi, not the general custom
i know!i know! i mean, i would love to have a sangeet, esp. since the tamil/telugu weddings i have been to are extremely boring (to me). but i would have no excuse for it, unless i married e.g. a north indian. but looking at some of the bigger weddings that have taken place in hyderabad lately (vishnu manchu, those new zealand NRI kids), i guess it’s whatever you want it to be. and i can’t blame them – as a fellow southie, i would be super bored at my own wedding if there were no dancing 🙁
agreeeeeee!!
according to the movie Varudu, traditional Telugu eddings lasted 14 days and 5 days of just Vivah. Im sure some some of those 14 days were dedicated to naach-gaana, even if it wasn’t called “sangeet” .
I actually love the outfit! The off-white tones it down quite well. And she is the bride, after-all!!
I think she looks fab. The colors on the dupatta bring look great against the silver lehenga
She looks great…but the vibe I am getting is guest and not bride to-be.
i know the lehenga(as its called in the north) is shimmery and not worn in silk(pattu) doesnt mean you cant call it pattu langa blouse or half saree!(as its called in the south).
Its called Langa-Voni in Andhra
Langa derived from “Lehenga”
and Voni is derived from “Odhni” (could be the other way around)
this is not pattu cuz it may or may not be silk
half-saree is a lame English name as this outfit is not a saree, and not “half” of anything, its a full outfit of its own variety.
Finally ….someone wearing wedding appropriate attire! Good job!
love the blouse and lehenga, but not i think the dupatta ruins the whole thing, which is more reason why this outfit should not have been worn half-saree style!
This looks like a Sharara (a two-legged bottom) instead of a lehenga…
i dont think the colour combinations of the duppatta and the rest of the outfit work…..the whole look seems kinda dull for her own sangeet
Sneha Reddy just looks fantabulous…!!!Better than any heroine…
