What does Punjabi / non-Punjabi genes have to do with this?
What are Punjabi genes?? And what does that even mean? Pastel casual suits are for Punjabis alone? Such a weird comment.. so regionally biased
This isn’t really about a regional bias (anyone can wear suits) but Amrita in traditional suits in her songs from 80s and 90s used to look truly Punjabi. This is kinda hard to explain but having been surrounded by Punjabi women (many of them friends), one can make out a Punjabi woman especially when she wears a suit. BTW there are also very distinguishing feature for Pahari women – case in point Anushka and Preity Zinta.
I am half-Punjabi and have not noticed this Punjabi woman detecting super power amongst any of my family/acquaintances except my grandma who thinks all pretty and fair women must be Punjabi somehow.
I hope she never loses that (utterly natural and not in the least self conscious) grin under the bright lights of Bollywood
I’m SO glad that this girl has brought some low-key simplicity back to Bollywood and made other young actresses dress like normal humans for this off-duty looks! All the identikit Bolly Barbies with their excessively made-up, whitewashed, impractically sexy airport looks really fatigued me.
