For her appearance at a recent awards event, Aahana picked an Urvashi Joneja sari to wear. While I can appreciate how striking the sari and the contrasting printed blouse might have looked on the red carpet, the ombré sari just wasn’t my cup of tea.

That’s a lovely blouse… it deserved a better saree
This lady has such a lovely smile and a natural way about her, that I instantly like her in anything! Lovely blouse and saree is OK too.
blouse is too boxy cut, which does not help her shoulders and frame at all. Slightly different cut would have had a different effect all together for her. Her smile is a saver.
That sari — while I appreciate that jewel tone with this blouse — has an ombre pattern. Ombre’s do better with open pallu (no pleating on chest) with the dark portion showing and the light portions gathered at the forearm, or the dark portion completely hidden behind the light and the light portion in open pallu to contrast with the hips. I prefer the former but not sure the occasion would handle it.
This pallu draping style, while trying to do something different, is too harsh. Especially with that bright magenta.
Blouse too garish for the saree and I feel she’s naturally so pretty that sometimes you feel her makeup isn’t right
