In Valentino

Priyanka attended the Met Gala wearing Valentino and jewellery from Bvlgari. I really loved the hairdo but I feel between the hairdo and that ruffle, the look felt too disconnected. I picture this gown without the ruffle but with that contrast white sleeve detail and that would’ve made for a simple yet impactful look.

What did you think of her outing?

  1. I don’t quiet know what to make out of this look , I guess she is into ruffled feathery overcoats these days but she looks lovely

    • Sure looks smashing!!!
I would’ve skipped either the necklace or earrings as wearing both makes it a bit dowager. And not huge on the hair. But over all very nice and met perfect!

  2. PC sans the boobage is a big thing. Too many disconnected thoughts in this look and only HMU seems to be done correctly.

  3. It’s important to know when to stop. This look is overkill and needed a lot of editing. The bow/ruffle is completely unnecessary and that hairdo is absurd, making her face look really wide. That lock of her hair hanging over her right ear looks like what hairdressers do when they section off your hair with sectioning clamps/clips while they’re cutting another section. She’s looked far better in Citadel promos tbh. This is disappointing.

  4. Same old same old. Nothing to write home about.

Wonder why PC & Alia didn’t opt for beautiful Indian fabrics even if they wanted some funny design as is expected for Met.

    • Because brands pay tonnes of money to have stars wear their custom creations. Also, why does everyone expect every international appearance by an Indian actor, be an opportunity to wear something indian? can’t we hit it outta the park in anything that’s not out of our wheelhouse?

      • So did Naomi & Penelope wear Indian inspired outfits for the greater good of mankind?!
Comeon!! It doesn’t need much grey matter to figure out that there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch!

  5. love the hair but that’s about it.
i think the theme was broken down into safe and easy consumbles like black and white and too few people went far enough with it. nattypoo is the only desi who knocked it out of the park.

  6. Her hair has been on point since she abandoned those extensions.

The tuxedo elements like the bow etc. did not go well with that dress and that cape. Her cape looks like something that Beast from Beauty and the Beast would wear. Or a vampire… jus add some fangs.

She looks stunning neck up! Nice Cuban

  7. I don’t understand the hair and my eyes can’t decide what to focus on since there’s so much happening. Wish she or Alia would have worn the dress Naomi Campbell did

  8. The outfit itself is simple from what I saw on her Instagram, just a long ,column dress . These elements of the jacket / cover up , bows etc were added on for the MET look but it’s really not looking put together & isn’t anything special

  9. ok so I saw her on a live tv show walking into the event. She herself looked v.v. overwhelmed by that dress. She appeared to be annoyed with the whole ruffle thing and on a side note- I saw a couple of celebrities including JLO snap, or look annoyed/ nervous on the red carpet. It was a little glimpse behind the masks they wear for the photographers but the camera catches it all? doesnt it. I did not personally like PC’s look, hair or dress. It was a lot of fabric and not in a nice way gift wrapped around her. The hair here and at the after party looked rather silly on her (someone mentioned above that she has ditched extensions- that feather atop is definitely not her real hair- just saying). Some people looked so effortless- I loved Dua Lipa personally.

  10. She looks great except the ruffle overlay/cover.

Her hair and makeup is done right.

Could have been better but not complaining either.
