In Naeem Khan

One of our least favorite outfits from designer Naeem Khan’s Spring 2009 collection made its way onto Indian-American actress Pooja Kumar, who wore it to the the premiere of “Bollywood Hero” in Los Angeles. As if the dress wasn’t bad enough (we didn’t like the floral/fringe mix), Ms. Kumar makes it worse by pairing the dress with metallic brown T-strap sandals.

P.S. The three-part mini “Bollywood Hero” premieres on IFC on Aug 6th at 10pm EST and also stars Chris Kattan and Neha Dhupia.

Bag Spotting!

Also at the Vogue luncheon was Deepika Roy on whom we spotted the Lanvin ‘Happy’ bag. While we loved the colors against her stark white outfit, the bag itself was a letdown! A shame really coz’ we adore Lanvin ‘Happy’ bags. This had to be one of our least favorites from the line.

Shoe Spotting!

To begin with, these aren’t the easiest sandals to pull off… Teamed with that awkward length dress, Sonia killed any chance she might have otherwise had!

End Of An Era.

Both hailed once by Vogue magazine among world’s 10 most beautiful women, they were charismatic and stunning and made an irreplaceable place for themselves on many impressionable young women in their own time… And will continue to do so much after.

Where Ms. Naidu lit up the silver screen and delighted the movie-goers, Maharani Gayatri Devi set new standards for grace and charm.

As little girls, we were smitten by Maharani’s breezy chiffons and pearls. As grown women we can only hope to be half as dignified and graceful.

They will be sorely missed.
