Aishwarya stepped out on the red carpet again wearing another custom Falguni and Shane Peacock gown, and I am just flabbergasted!
What is surprising me is that the Peacocks who make some really good gowns are the same ones that churned out this which to me reminded me of a piñata that was inspired by some Game of Throne dragon character!

Maybe the code was party dress but she didn’t have to wear the decorations! This is fodder for all the conspiracy theorists, seriously.
A gazillion outfits to choose from and this awful blingy thingamajig gets picked. Major head scratch. And it doesnt suit her one tiny bit, heck she looks severely uncomfortable. You can see that just by her expression and body language….
what happened to beautiful, elegant, breathtaking, SOPHISTICATED gowns didn’t look like a little kid’s art project? looks like someone took balloon ribbon and just glued it on.
How could she say yes to this? How did her stylist and the Falguni team think this was a good choice? it makes no sense.
both of her dresses have been horrible and quite frankly embarrassing.

I would take those done-to-death AJSK tents with flat hair and red lipstick over this abomination ,any day.

The designer or the stylist must’ve felt this would make a statement which it did, for the right reasons though ? That’s questionable?
Unbelievable that this is somehow worse than her yesterdays look, this one eve her face can’t save it.

The designers need to be pilloried for this. I feel awful for Ash. This is her last Cannes appearance this year? My heart sinks. All the choice in the world and this is what they go with? Doesn’t Loreal have any say? The colours are the only interesting aspect, and kudos to her for walking with a broken arm but…you have an entire year to prepare for this event and this is what you come up with?

I can’t even focus on the dress anymore because I can’t get past the same pursed lip smile expression in literally every pose. How does she manage this same pasted on expression in every insta pic, airport sighting, and even at Cannes? I think part of the look is the expression and vibe you give but it’s just never there with her. I’m not sure that she even has a teeth anymore because can’t remember the last time she really smiled showing any pearly whites. Her teams should tell her to work on more variation in expression

OMG!! I also said Piñata the second I saw her. I know she’s a gorgeous woman who would look good in a sac, but given what she’s wearing maybe she should consider wearing a sac at this point.

I’m guessing this gown was supposed to have some sort of a peacock theme. Makeup and hair are on point. The gown had potential but was ruined by the ‘butterfly’ wings and ott tinsel (is it?) attached to the boobs. It’s hiding Aishwarya’s curves and makes her look stout. Shame.

After having walked the ramp, represented the country in international paegent, worked in movies, held the title of mega star; this seems to a classic case of emperor’s clothes. Does the fashion world not have any clothes left to dress a not so lissome body with grace?? It is TRUE when headlines are made on the need for body positivity. What is this horror show on the red carpet? The photographers also seem to disapproving of this look.

I think they wanted to do camp. But this is a mess and its just blatantly disrespectful to the brand she is representing if I am being honest to push things to such a ridiculous extreme. Aishwarya needs a better team.

her face was normal then but now it’s all puffy (long travel or jet lag maybe). It’s not easy to look fresh all the time at 50+ but she looked so lovely at the airport on her way to Cannes. Something off about Loreal make up

I am just so sad, upset and heartbroken for her. I am sure she put all her trust in these guys – the designer, the stylist – the so called experts and they failed her miserably. They have made a mockery out of her. This is not a small failure! Its easy to forgive and forget a mediocre look but this looks like intentional sabotage. Also goes to show these “experts” only know to dress one body type – Skinny!

Let’s not blame the designers and stylists. They can’t get to make the celebs agree on anything if they don’t want it. Unfortunately most celebs in India have this weird OTT taste. Always an overkill and sad Ash, as stunning as she is has never displayed good taste in clothes.
