In one day, we saw two looks from Ms. Desai. For the day look, Prachi picked a mesh-neck LBD which for a jewellery store launch was quite apropos. After all, you don’t want your clothes to stand out more than the jewellery of the brand that you’ve been asked to endorse, do you?

The look worth talking about was her appearance at the Filmfare nominations bash where she wore nude tiered lace dress with nude sandals. A patent red clutch provided the pop of color. The dress really combines two elements that am into these days: lace + nude = romantic. Wait, make that three!

While we thought Shraddha looked great in this Just Cavalli dress with the suede pumps, having seen her do some quirky moves of late (remember the pink socks with the blue sandals?), we would have liked to see her add some spunk to this outfit. Perhaps by way of a contrasting clutch.

On an aside, Shraddha features in the Jan edition of Elle in Just Cavalli dresses. Makes us wonder whether the green one was one she got to keep? Anyone seen the full editorial?

Sonakshi was a vision in a Shantanu-Nikhil at the Filmfare nominations bash. The young actress offset her jewellery to match the gold sequin accent on the waist and completing the look with a metallic clutch which I didn’t think was the best pick.

What I loved most about her look was the lip-color. The coral-ey shade worked perfectly with the gown.

Considering designer Manish Malhotra had a show at the Filmfare Nominations bash, we aren’t really surprised that Aishwarya quickly reverted back into a MM creation.

What I am surprised however, is that am kind of liking it. The sari that is. The blouse though is a different story.

It’s rare when Jaya upstages Aishwarya but Akshay-Twinkle’s anniversary bash was one such occassion.

Where Ash went horribly wrong was pairing the chikan sari with the bikini halter blouse and then wearing a necklace on top of the halter. Our rule of thumb is to go a bangle-route to not overcrowd the neck.

In contrast, Jaya looked lovely in the pink sari and we loved her multi-stranded kundan necklace.
