In Abu-Sandeep

There were multiple sightings of Abu-Sandeep at this do. Also sporting the designer duo were Pinky, Neetu and to no one’s surprise, Jaya.

Can’t quite say am fond of either of these outfits. I will however say this, despite their outfits the ladies looked charming. The color on Ms. Bachchan was especially a surprise; it (the color) looked great on her.

In Abu-Sandeep

It was Abu-Sandeep for these ladies at the Birthday celebrations. Tabu rarely ever gets it wrong (lately) when in Indian-wear and though there was nothing really wrong with this look, it read a little dowdy on her, almost washing her out. Rinke wore hers well but the make-up was really off. Sussanne too wore hers well but in her case, the necklace didn’t seem to quite work with the suit.

Of the three, I’d give this one to Rinke. Along with some blotting papers and tissues.

In Manish Malhotra

At Amitabh Bachchan’s seventieth birthday celebrations, these lovely ladies were in attendance wearing floor grazing Manish Malhotra outfits. Have a favorite?

WLIFW Spring 2013: Ashish N Soni

Ashish N Soni’s collection titled ‘Cytology- The Micro Lab’, was one of the strong favorites of the day. And with good reason too. Red blood cells, arterial walls, nerves, bacteria… Who knew it’d make for such great digital prints!

Let’s talk about the pant-suits shall we? Crisp, tailored down to the inch and though a word terribly overused/misused, contemporary. Obsessed with the one in first Row.

Beautifully tailored ready-to-wear dresses and separates that carry with them a sense of joie de vivre. Apt given the print?

WLIFW Spring 2013: Vineet Bahl

Inspired by a recent trip to Marrakech, the designer presented a collection befitting a young Indian princess. Thoughtful use of embroidery gave the clothes a more contemporary feel. Loved the use of lace; it all looked very luxe. Row Two (second look from the right) and Row Three (second look from the left) had some of my favorite looks from the collection.
