Sanjana and Jasprit attended the wedding with the former wearing a yellow lehenga by Masaba and Jasprit a burgundy achkan set. I loved that lehenga and would’ve loved this even more had she added a hint of orange lip just to give some color to her face as well. But, that’s a minor gripe.

Ranbir and Alia attended the wedding with Ranbir in a Manish Malhotra bandhgala kurta. Alia as an ode to the hosts wore a 160 year old Ashavali sari (a brocade weave from Ahmedabad) collected by Manish Malhotra, who then added his signature sequin border to the sari.
That sari was absolutely beautiful. I just didn’t think the beaded strapless blouse and the jewels here worked with it. Especially that maang tikka. It bordered on playing dress-up and looked costumey.

Sidharth and Kiara were back in town just in time for the wedding where the former was seen in a white bandhgala set from Manish Malhotra and the latter, in a red and purple lehenga from Torani. Loved the lehenga.
Those wide legged pants on Sidharth were a disservice. The kurta would’ve looked so much better with slim-fitted pants

Natasha wore a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga to the wedding and the maximalist that she is, she wore a stack of kundan bracelets, big emerald ring, a multi-strand pearl necklace and gold earrings and headpiece.
First, for a custom outfit, I am surprised that the bust fit was so off. Secondly, the jewels are all clashing against each other. Especially the pearl necklace with the gold headpiece. Most times Natasha blends things together well. I didn’t think it was the case here.

At the Merchant-Ambani wedding (lagna vidhi), Aishwarya was seen in a red floor-length Manish Malhotra kurta set made from Benarasi weave fabric. I will admit, the color was striking but both the heavy necklace and maang tikka felt overkill.
Now, lets talk about the kurta itself. That modesty patch which seems like an after-thought was already bad enough but to have the patch itself have a seam running down that didn’t align with the main kurta line was just terrible! Given how many folks the label and the designer had to dress for this wedding, I’ll give this one a pass but it hadn’t gone unnoticed.
