At the Merchant-Ambani wedding (lagna vidhi), Aishwarya was seen in a red floor-length Manish Malhotra kurta set made from Benarasi weave fabric. I will admit, the color was striking but both the heavy necklace and maang tikka felt overkill.
Now, lets talk about the kurta itself. That modesty patch which seems like an after-thought was already bad enough but to have the patch itself have a seam running down that didn’t align with the main kurta line was just terrible! Given how many folks the label and the designer had to dress for this wedding, I’ll give this one a pass but it hadn’t gone unnoticed.

The color looks gorgeous on her though. I didnt like her hair one bit, the over use of clip on heavy extensions completely weigh down the look. A simple partition and tied up hair would’ve been much of a relief.

I wouldn’t have minded seeing this in Cannes ….IF the whole kurta and bottoms were plain and just the dupatta had a rich brocade design.

This is definitely a pretty look. But then again her last outing was the horror fest at Cannes so bar is in hell. Someday, she’ll do an updo and saree again is my hope. She looked so beautiful in Ponniyan Selvan. I hope she knows that.

The outfit is an 8. I am not very fond of this style of open jacket thingy in suits. I do think that the choker needed just one layer and the maang tikka could have gone or been a smaller one. She is definitely one the better turned out celeb guests.
The more I see, the more I like it. She looks sensational!
This is what a bad marriage does to a beautiful woman. Hope this time next year, she will be rocking her queen self!

The hair is better- the color looks great on her. I agree the jewellery is a too much. But she looks happy!!! She looks fresh and relaxed!!! I think that makes her overall look good!!!
