My first glance at Kareena in this custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla at an awards ceremony was a “Who put her in this washout color/ill-fitted outfit?” Well, the answer came quickly and it was Rhea. After the fabulous appearance in the Sabya, to see Kareena in this supposedly custom creation which was too tight at the bust was quite a downer for me. I did not like.
But hey, everyone (actors and stylists included) have their ups and their downs. To me this was the latter. What was it for you?

Not a good stylist, she actually made the usually well put Kareena in this awful outfit. Making KK look bad is a feat…
Rhea needs to stop being a stylist all together.
Makeup distracts from the clothes . Equally bad

I think she actually looked really elegant in the paparazzi videos. The color was beautiful and the tight fit on the bust was actually more flattering than the fit on the Sabya. The color, the silhouette and the bust remind me of Elizabethan/Regency/Victorian era fits which adds to the regality.
*thud* I guess Rhea was ill-fated to dress Kareena in bolts of curtain fabric on the heels of an exquisite emerald green gown in a flattering silhouette.
I actually don’t mind the bust fit. Her makeup and neckpiece are very regal looking. I have a bigger issue with the volume waist down. It does not suit her at all.
Rhea is incompetent, as are AJSK. Overhyped both.
Her make-up looked flawless. Outfit is boring.
Out of all the amazing stylists in India, I don’t understand why anyone would hire Rhea Kapoor as one. Almost every look that she has styled on any celebrity is either so blah or disastrous.
I don’t think this silhouette is flattering on Kareena at all. It emphasizes her arms, adds bulk to the bottom half and flattens her chest, throwing off proportions. It could only work on a very young/ very thin girl, exactly the kind who’d wear it to a Regency ball.
very spot on critique Payal! has Rhea styled anyone well other than Sonam in her initial days?? All her recent styling looks with Bhumi, Alia have fallen flat to say the least.
Kareena goes from looking va-va-voom in the turquoise Sabya gown to looking meh in this voluminous 2000’s inspired nonsense. It doesn’t even suit her for all the hoo-haa about “Custom Made”
I’m only bothered with the weird neck cut, it looks like it’ll slip on sides any moment and off course the boob pump up which is rhea standard.
The outfit is loud and tooooo gold but it’s Kareena n she can handle it well. Make up could’ve been less gold bronze since she’s gold leafed all over.
I think its the makeup that has done her bad.
Bronzing and contouring are just ghastly and dont even get started at the chest sculpting.
Everyone put together just made it look absolute eye sore.
I think Kareena doesn’t like it…coz she’s usually relaxed and comfortable in what she wears..
Only her hair was nice at this outing.
The busy was so so ill fitting .

It isn’t the bust that is awry – it’s the shoulder/sleeve setting. With such a wide neck, the shoulder should be set narrower, see how it’s slid off the top, causing a boxy silhouette. The hem of the dress is also rising in the front in an odd manner

To me this silhouette is so unlike how Kareena usually dresses (and with good reason, not flattering on her) that it’s throwing me off!!
Anarkali or gown or both ? Something Ash would wear . Not suiting Kareem’s at all , ages her & so circa 2000 ish . She looks better in westernized clothes & modern stuff
